40 National Costumes: A Celebration of Diversity

(18/11) A wide range of National Costumes in Mister International 2010 were exhibited to the public for the first time at eX Plaza Indonesia Jakarta, together with L-Men Hi-Protein 2 GO launching. L-Men Hi-Protein 2 GO is a practical drink that specially formulated to shape athletic body and meet the nutritional needs of men, with high protein, low fat, no added sugar, and enriched with L-Carnitine to optimize fat burning. Surrounded by sexy dancers, a large L-Men Hi Protein 2 GO packaging was brought to the center of stage. Rikas (L-Men of the Year 2010) also came up to the stage to present this new product.
Special performance by Endah N Rhesa, a promising duo musician opened the whole event and this couple was amazed with the national costumes from these 40 countries. “It is pleasing to see clothing designs from various countries in this event this morning. Peace on earth through art and designs.” they tweeted. Thomas, contestant from Indonesia, exhibited the rich culture of Indonesia by wearing a modification from Balinese traditional clothes inspired by Garuda Wisnu Kencana, made by Dynand Fariz.
This event was not only an exhibition but there were 3 judges namely Wawan Soeharto (Portrait Management), Fira Basuki (Cosmopolitan editor in chief), Rocky Pramatra, and Zaldi (Assistant Managing Editor Men’s Fitness Indonesia magazine) to assess the contestants, who will win the national costume competition. This event was hosted by Hilyani Hidranto (presenter and model).
Still at eX Plaza Indonesia, the contestants were invited to taste a heavenly healthy frozen yogurt from Heavenly Blush. They picked whether the original, pomegranate or guanabana yogurt, with their own favorite toppings. A perfect start to enjoy Japanese lunch at Waraku Japanese Casual Dining, Grand Indonesia Shopping Town!
The contestants afterward went to IndoChine at fX Senayan for a fashion show with swim wear and evening wear session. Not only having fun, but the contestants arranged fund raising for Merapi & Mentawai victims. The guests were bidding for a group of unique souvenirs from many countries such as Koream ginseng, Sri Lanka’s the finest tea, congklak (traditional game) from Indonesia, koala doll from Australia, paintings, and many more. It was sure a quite tiring day, but the D-day is just around the corner and they will not miss any small chances to win the competition!
